Anne brings to Currahee a wealth of knowledge and experience gained during her 21-year career at CNN as controller and director of finance. She led an exciting life during her days at CNN and was able to travel throughout the world during a historic time – witnessing demonstrations for democracy in China’s Tiananmen Square in 1989, journeying through Ethiopia and Sudan during devastating famines and touring Venice and Helsinki for economic summits.

One may wonder why she chose to leave one of the world’s most respected news organizations to work at Currahee. It’s simple, really: Anne has long-time family ties to Toccoa, GA. Her parents have lived in the area for the past 20 years.

Anne knew early on when she discovered Currahee Club that she wanted to be a part of the team that would help create it. “I want to establish a community where kids can play safely like I did as a girl growing up in Thomaston, GA, which is why I joined the team in September, 2004,” Anne stated.

Reminiscing upon simpler times, she said she cannot think of a better place than Currahee Club to call home. After living in Atlanta for 21 years, she is looking forward to a nice reprieve from Atlanta traffic and leaving the headaches of city life in her past. “Currahee Club is an exciting project where I can be involved from the ground up,” Anne says. “This is an opportunity I didn’t want to miss.”
