Exchange a few words with John and you can’t help but take on his optimism and energy.  These qualities, along with his golf experience and expertise, make John a perfect fit for Currahee Club.  John has been a part of the team since 2004, following roles as Assistant Golf Professional at St. Ives Country Club in Duluth, GA and also at Sea Scape Golf Links in Kitty Hawk, NC.

As Head Golf Professional at Currahee Club, John is responsible for the entire golf operation of the club, including the management of the golf shop, golf staff, member tournaments, private lessons and group clinics. John also works to perfect his own game, representing Currahee Club in Georgia PGA and national PGA golf tournaments. 

Not only has John won 12 regional events and posted two course records, but he also finished among the Georgia section’s “top 10” assistant pros for Player of the Year honors, earning a spot on the Georgia Assistant Cup Team in 2002 and 2003.

John and his wife Tammi share their home in Toccoa, Georgia with what John affectionately refers to as the “4-H Club,” dog Hogan, cats Hershey and Holly, and rabbit HP (short for Horce Parker).  The two cats and the rabbit were rescued from homes where they were unwanted, and were happy additions to the Wade family.
