Scott McGinnis’ affection for traveling began during his service with the United States Navy as an anti-submarine warfare officer.  Following his tour, he continued to travel the world.  His travels eventually brought him to Currahee Club where he is responsible for developing and executing tactical marketing plans and sales initiatives for the community.

Before his involvement with Currahee Club, Scott found his niche in the cruise industry and held senior level marketing and sales positions with Home Lines Cruises, Royal Viking Line, Windstar Cruises and Delta Queen Steamboat Company.

As his interests shifted to real estate, Scott took on the position of VP of Sales & Marketing for RCI’s Luxury Product Group, where he worked with real estate developers and owners of luxury communities around the world.  After 30 years of traveling for work, Scott decided to settle down in the place he had always felt at home -- the Southeast.  After working at The Cliffs Communities in South Carolina, Scott brought his knowledge of sales, marketing, real estate and golf to Currahee Club.

In 2006, Scott was selected to oversee all sales and marketing activities for Currahee Club.  Though Scott still enjoys traveling, he can most often be found hiking, camping or just enjoying the outdoors.  Scott and his wife, Debra, live in Greenville, SC.
